The Senior Research Program Manager (Oceans) will have a strategic role in the development of a new philanthropic initiative that will advance the health of the oceans. As the project manager of this effort, this position will work closely with Foundation leadership to identify, plan, and implement ocean health related projects. In addition, the new Senior Research Program Manager will support the ongoing scientific research into this field to track new discoveries and emerging opportunities.
The Senior Program Manager will be expected to conduct and participate in the research, planning, and development of philanthropic efforts which support the Foundation’s interests in ocean health related ventures or projects. Funding for this new initiative may be in the form of partnerships, grants, or investments. This position will serve as a critical team member in the preparation of progress reports to leadership. The Senior Research Program Manager will also interact with internal and external consultants, nonprofit, academic and private sector leaders on matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
