Sustainability administration job in California

Pomona College is seeking a talented, energetic, dedicated, and well-organized professional to serve as the Assistant Director, Sustainability. The candidate must be detailed-oriented and comfortable working in a relaxed but busy environment. You will provide leadership to the College's sustainability programs and will develop, implement, and assess efforts for the integration of sustainability throughout campus operations and programs. This position will develop, enhance, and maintain environmental stewardship within the campus community and among its constituencies as well as develop strategies for: energy and resource conservation and efficiency, building performance and retro-commissioning, cost forecasting, community engagement and outreach, and strategic planning for sustainability; as well as oversee the various programs of the Sustainability Integration Office.
Requires:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Studies or other related field of study (Master's Degree preferred).
  • 5 years of hands-on experience implementing environmental or sustainability programs.
  • LEED level accreditation preferred or the ability to obtain within 18 months.
