JOB CLASSIFICATION:  DNR Intern

SALARY RANGE:            Unpaid

LOCATION:                      Olympia WA

CLOSES:                          Open until filled


NOTE:  Flexiable start date with minimum 3 month duration. 
             Can be full or part-time.
                                       
POSITION PROFILE:
Technical editor internship positions are available requiring a knowledge of geology, good English skills, and a feel for good design. 
Interns will work with a team of technical communications professionals in a collaborative environment. They will have the opportunity to:
  • Edit and lay out technical reports, maps, and flyers.
  • Use Adobe Illustrator to create and edit figures.
  • Use a GIS (Geographic Information System) if they have the training.
  • Create material for posting online (website, MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr and a blog).

QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicant should be a current college junior or senior or recent college graduate majoring in geology or environmental education.
