Entry to Junior-Level
Pentec Environmental, the natural resources division of Hart Crowser, Inc., has an immediate opportunity for a highly motivated, entry to junior level Fisheries
Biologist to become an integral member of our Edmonds based team.

We are seeking a Fisheries Biologist (MS level preferred) with 1-4 years experience with marine and/or freshwater fish monitoring and ecology in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. The responsibilities of this position will require:

Knowledge of the habitats and ecological relationships associated with freshwater, estuarine, or marine fish;
Knowledge of northeastern Pacific anadromous and near shore fish;
Experience in quantitative sampling utilizing a variety of sampling approaches and gear types;
Experience with statistical applications, data analysis and interpretation, and database management;
Knowledge of GIS applications and experience with experimental design and implementation;
Strong communications, interpersonal relations and technical writing skills.

This position will involve field and boating work. Individual must be able to lift 50 lb and be able to hike over challenging terrain. Prior field work and a strong interest and availability to participate in travel for field surveys for 1-3 weeks in remote areas of the Pacific Northwest and Alaska are critical. (Travel < 20%, however, seasonal.)
