Description:
The Kruckeberg Botanic Garden Foundation seeks an unpaid education intern to help with our fall programs. The intern will focus on preschool and early elementary field trips, but will also provide support for adult tours and workshops.
 The intern will be trained to conduct field trips at the garden for 3-8 year olds. Each field trip includes a short lesson, a guided exploration of the garden, and a hands-on craft project. The intern will manage logistics, materials, and help with program assessment and marketing. The intern will also have the oportunity to develop new program themes and activities.

Duties / Responsibilities:
    * Work closely with the Program Director
    * Help recruit and schedule field trips
    * Help lead school groups through the garden
    * Develop resource materials for field trip groups
    * Help develop and implement post-visit assessment
    * Develop own field trip theme as a culminating project
    * Help manage logistics for adult tours and workshops
    * Manage and organize education materials
 Commitment:
10-20 hours per week from September-November. More hours may be available.

The Kruckeberg Botanic Garden is a public garden containing a unique blend of Pacific Northwest native plants and unusual exotics in a naturalistic, wooded setting. Located in Shoreline, Washington, the Garden was founded in 1958 by Dr. Arthur Kruckeberg and his wife Mareen, who amassed the plant collection over 50 years
