Position: Staff Environmental Scientist

Location: Bellingham, Washington

MFA is seeking an environmental scientist to work from its Bellingham office. The ideal candidate will have background in site investigations and remedial design of contaminated upland properties. The candidate should have a specific interest in industrial and commercial site cleanup and brownfield redevelopment. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of project execution, including investigation, design, permitting and remediation work.

This is a full-time position. Compensation will be based on individual qualifications and experience.

Qualifications:

§ Five to seven years of experience in environmental remediation work.

§ Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, hydrology, geology or related field

The successful candidate will have sound technical capabilities and organizational and problem-solving skills. He/she must be able to formulate and clearly communicate ideas. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential to this position.
