Wildlife Biologist – USDA Forest Service, Los Padres National Forest (Goleta, CA)

The Wildlife Biologist supports the Forest Wildlife Biologist by managing, coordinating, or providing technical support to wildlife, vegetation and biological resources and is responsible for participation in the inspection and evaluation of the wildlife program and projects. The Incumbent will administer or support the on-going monitoring of wildlife studies, surveys, and activities to ensure program quality, effectiveness, technical adequacy, and compliance.  Incumbent prepares reports of findings or contributes information to reporting.  Consultations involve assessment of wildlife resources, species, habitats, environmental impacts, biological evaluations, and related regulatory requirements and compliance guidelines.  The Incumbent participates in the conduct of scientific studies and projects, in management investigations, and/or in wildlife resource surveys.
