Duties include:
Perform field and laboratory research on the ecophysiology of coastal marine organisms in response to ocean acidification.
Research will specifically address the ecomechanical response of marine invertebrates and macroalgae to altered pH and temperature.
Operate and maintain laboratory aquaria and materials testing equipment. Collect, record and verify accuracy of data; organize data; perform calculations; prepare charts, graphs and reports.
Participate in laboratory meetings and planning sessions.
Operate ancillary equipment such as microscopes, computers and data control and acquisition devices.
Maintain animals for experimental purposes.
May demonstrate and explain various laboratory techniques to laboratory personnel, students, and others.
May perform related duties as required.
