Aerotek E&E is partnered with an environmental and geotechnical consulting firm who is currently seeking a full time Field Technician for their office in the Bellevue-Kirkland area. This individual will be responsible for conducting geotechnical field monitoring including construction special inspection, geologic exploration, groundwater well installation, and other related tasks. The ideal candidate will also have experience with environmental sampling procedures for soil and groundwater and soil laboratory testing experience.
Job Requirements:
A BS in engineering, construction management, physical science, geology, or related field strongly preferred. Candidates with equivalent experience will be considered. A minimum of 3 years of job-related experience is necessary. This position requires knowledge of general construction procedures including; reading grading plans, understanding mass grading requirements, and being able to classify soils. This position also requires experience with excavation shoring installation, logging soil in support of geotechnical investigations, well installation, groundwater level measurement, and related tasks. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to support environmental site assessment activities including, soil and groundwater sampling, XRF testing, pre-demolition surveys, and related tasks.
Position requires reliable transportation to travel to and from job sites. Successful candidate must enjoy the outdoors and working in all weather conditions. Some travel to out of area job sites may be required. Candidate must possess accurate computational, critical thinking and analysis skills; must write and/or print clearly; must be available for some weekend work and have knowledge of basic computer applications (Word, Excel, etc).
OSHA 10 Hour Construction Training, 40 Hour HAZWOPER, First Aid/CPR, and Nuclear Gauge Safety training preferred.
