Sr. Environmental Chemist/Project Manager
EcoChem is a specialized, environmental consulting firm (not a
laboratory) that is actively seeking to fill an opening for mid-senior
level Environmental Chemist. This is a full-time position in our
Seattle office.
The following responsibilities will be associated with this position:
Project Management involving client and agency interface
Quality assurance oversight of sampling and analysis projects
Senior technical review of data validation reports and other technical reports
Data management using common environmental database applications
(e.g., Access, EQuIS)
Serve as a technical resource for other chemists
The position requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving
skills and a desire to perform within a small team setting.
The following qualifications are REQUIRED:
BA/BS degree in Chemistry or related science
Strong knowledge of USEPA and other environmental analytical methodologies
Strong project management and leadership skills
Environmental consulting experience including data analysis, QA/QC,
and data reporting
The following qualifications are PREFERRED:
Expertise in the natural resource damage assessment and allocation process
MS degree in Chemistry or related science
Familiarity with environmental/analytical quality assurance planning
Past experience in environmental analytical or research setting
Location: Downtown Seattle
Compensation: Salary will be commensurate with relevant experience,
education and professional
