Sediment Quality Unit Supervisor - Aquatic Resources Division

Open until filled. First screening after June 1, 2012
This position oversees the agency’s Contaminated Sediments Program. This includes providing the agency with toxicological expertise through the review and evaluation of toxicological studies and technical data and renders professional analysis to agency management on the effects of contaminated sediments to human health and aquatic organisms. These analyses are used to evaluate the effectiveness of proposed cleanup plans to ensure the proprietary interests of the state are addressed.
This position also represents the agency on advisory committees, interagency task forces and other venues where toxicological expertise is required.
To facilitate achieving these results, the position supervises the Sediment Quality Unit, a group of 5-6 professional staff, within the Program Development Section of the Aquatic Resources Division.
