Under the supervision of the Highlands District State Lands Timber sales Unit Forester, this position supports the mission and goals of the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) through the state lands management program by implementing sound ecological forest management to meet the agencies Trust obligations within the constraints of policy and applicable legal requirements. Responsibilities include performing as lead forester on timber sales and timber sale contract compliance including regeneration, and other silvicultural practices.
