Under general supervision, the incumbent will work to develop water quality and fish habitat-related monitoring plans by overseeing and collecting water quality samples, conducting lab analyses, developing appropriate reports, and monitoring, protecting, and improving water quality and habitat of fish and shellfish in the Tribes Usual and Accustomed Area. Additional responsibilities include: designing, planning, and conducting field investigations to assess fish habitat and water quality; identifying sources of pollution and evaluate environmental conditions; developing and applying appropriate field Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures; scheduling and conducting field work using appropriate equipment and protocols; and performing duties in the water quality laboratory as required.
