People For Puget Sound seeks a Communications Intern for October – December 2011 to support day-to-day social media and public relations activities. This is a paid 20 hour/week opportunity for a university student or recent graduate. The Communications Intern will draft posts and develop relationships using Twitter, Facebook and other social media networks; coordinate the editorial calendar and ensure regular posts on blogs; assist with creation and posting of new videos and leverage available footage on YouTube; and draft press releases and coordinate media outreach.
