The Undergraduate Research Program (URP) is offering 3 new paid internship opportunities for undergraduates interested in Fisheries and Marine Biology-related lab and field work research to work with NOAA scientists at the Northwest Fisheries Science Center starting autumn quarter. Interns may work with the Watershed Program’s Restoration Team on studies related to the Elwha dam removal, assist with molecular biology experiments designed to assess the ecology and virulence of V. parahaemolyticus in the marine environment, or participate in harmful algal bloom research with the Biotoxins Team, monitoring marine biotoxins in phytoplankton and shellfish samples.
