The Biology Lab reports to the Chair of the Pure and Applied Science Division and is supervised by the Lab Coordinator. The Laboratory Technician’s responsibilities will focus on the running of the Biology Lab during specific hours when the Lab Coordinator is away from the building, including setting up and taking down of classroom experiments, in the Biology lab, and husbandry of animals associated at location.
Coordinate lab classes in the absence of the Lab Coordinator;
• Maintain a safe environment in the Biology Lab;
• Feed and care for animals, and maintain related records;
• Perform maintenance of equipment and supplies in accordance to the location;
• Assist in laboratory activities;
• Train and guide student workers with their specific responsibilities;
• Set up and maintain laboratory; and
• Perform other duties as assigned.
