Forest Health and Biomass Project Specialist


Position will coordinate three important agency efforts to improve forest health and increase use of forest biomass.
• Coordinate development of contract language and agency procedures to increase biomass utilization from forest health and fuels reduction projects on private land in northeast Washington;
• Provide staff support and coordinate a Forest Health Technical Advisory Committee process in accordance with RCW 76.06 to produce a recommendation for the Commissioner of Public Lands; and
• Develop and pilot a landowner incentive payment program for forest health restoration in cooperation with the Forest Practices Division Landowner Assistance Program in northeast Washington.
