Fisheries Management Biologist - Job Listing - Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe Jobs

This is a professional, administrative level fisheries management position for the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe focusing primarily on harvest management activities. Under the supervision of the Shellfish Manager, and with appropriate Tribal policy input, the Fisheries Management Biologist will apply sound biological principles to the management of salmon and marine fish populations in the Tribe’s usual and accustomed fishing area. The Tribe’s geographic area of interest includes the Strait of Juan de Fuca, San Juan Islands, Admiralty Inlet and Hood Canal and tributaries. Responsibilities will focus on the analysis of biological data, negotiation of harvest plans, development of fishing regulations, and identification of enhancement activities. The position incumbent will also address a wide range of other natural resource management issues including participation in and coordination with regional stock assessment programs and salmon recovery efforts.
