Biologist (Watershed, stream, salmon, restoration) – South Fork Research, Inc. (Seattle/North Bend, WA)

South Fork Research is seeking a biologist with advanced data management skills to maintain and analyze physical and biological data collected as part of an intensively monitored watershed project studying the long-term effects of stream restoration on salmon habitat and salmon populations (Bridge Creek Intensively Monitoring Watershed, Integrated Status and Effectiveness Monitoring Program). The successful applicant will focus on the collection of field data for monitoring changes in vegetation along a heavily incised stream in eastern Oregon (Bridge Creek) that is being restored in concert with beaver activity and structure placements.  The incumbent will also maintain and update water temperature, climate, and groundwater data, including data collection, quality assurance, and summary in database formats. GIS data will be managed in geodatabases and maintained, updated, and documented as needed with metadata. The position requires expertise in statistics (R software experience desired), MS Access, and ARCGIS.
