Fish Biologist, USGS (Cook, WA)


As a Fish Biologist within the Western Fisheries Research Center, some of your specific duties will include:
-Plans, develops, and executes field and laboratory research projects on anadromous salmonids and other fishes to address aquatic resource management issues and concern.
-Functions as a principal investigator on fish ecology and life history studies and leads subordinates in the collection and analysis of biological data and physical habitat assessments.
-Develops plans for implementing fishery research projects including obtaining state and federal permits, estimates of personnel, equipment, procurement, materials and schedules required to carry out plans.
-Operates and maintains boats, outboard motors, motor vehicles, and various other lab and field equipment and procures the equipment and materials for work assignments.
