Project Manager – Puget Sound Video Short
People For Puget Sound is recruiting a high-energy, collaborative project manager - one who is passionate about the health of Puget Sound - to support Brenda Tincher, our Director of Individual Giving. This is an exciting opportunity for a university student hoping to acquire hands-on, professional work experience while also making an impact on our environment. People For Puget Sound is a leader among the environmental community and our outreach strategy plays a critical role in achieving our mission.
The project manager will oversee the creation of a 90-second video promoting People For Puget Sound, to be ready for release in April 2012. The goal of this project is to raise awareness about Puget Sound recovery by creating a fun, quirky viral video that people want to forward to others. The storyboarding and scripting have already begun, led by the professional marketing company, Tray Creative. Shooting and editing will happen in March with an intended release date of April 13, 2012.
The Video intern’s primary task will be to track the myriad moving parts of a video production. This includes, but is not limited to:
ü Facilitate communication between the camera crew, People For Puget Sound and Tray Creative
ü Track email conversations to track and report progress back to all involved
ü Supervise the production schedule to keep the team focused on meeting deadlines
ü Attend weekday meetings or weekend scene shooting, (but scheduling needs can be accommodated).

Dates: March - April 2012 Hours: 5 - 10 hours per week Location: Downtown Seattle and some fieldwork TBD
Qualifications:
ü excellent written and verbal communications skills
ü familiarity with project management, timelines, schedules, coordination
ü experience with video production a plus
ü proven ability to work independently
ü attention to detail
