Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe seeks a fisheries management professional to apply sound biological principles to the management of salmon & marine fish populations in the Tribe’s usual & accustomed fishing area.
Duties include:
Access & analyze fish population data & review management options in consultation with others; work with Point No Point Treaty Council re: mixed stock fisheries management, harvest allocation, run size forecasting, preseason planning, stock assessment & recovery planning; implement Tribal fisheries harvest plans through regulations, licensing of fishermen & vessels & providing notice to fishermen re: in-season adjustments to fisheries; supervise activities of technicians & jointly supervise activities of Fish & Game Enforcement Officers; participate in design & execution of studies, maintain data bases, perform data analysis & preparation of technical reports on research projects.
