Conduct fisheries and aquatic habitat related studies and planning for near-shore marine and river environments to permit projects, develop management plans, and define restoration actions. Manage and conduct fisheries projects. Assist in marketing fisheries and related environmental work.
Job Requirements :
At least 8 years’ experience in Puget Sound near-shore and riverine fisheries studies, planning projects, watershed management, habitat restoration, fish passage and habitat design. The person who qualifies for this position has the ability to effectively coordinate all aspects of fisheries projects and permit projects through local, state and federal agencies, including USACE and NMFS. Responsibilities will to include technical and management tasks. Has demonstrated ability to understand and consistently apply fundamentals of ecological sciences as well as project management.
B.S. in Biology/Chemistry/Fisheries
M.S. or PhD. in Fisheries Biology
Prefer CFS registration
