The UW Tacoma Environmental Program is housed within Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences. The Environmental Program offers the opportunity to complete either a BA in Environmental Studies or a BS in Environmental Science. Additionally, we offer a Minor in Environmental Studies, a Certificate in Geographic Information Systems (co-administered by Urban Studies) and a Certificate in Restoration Ecology.

Photo Management Internship – NOAA, Office of Response and Restoration (Seattle, WA)
Position Description
The Spatial Data Branch within NOAA’s Office of Response and Restoration (OR&R) is a dynamic team that supports NOAA missions by providing access to and management of spatial data for oil spill response and damage assessment. We are looking for motivated self-starters who enjoy independent work as well as a strong team environment to join us as interns. The ideal candidate for this internship will possess a strong GIS background and the desire to immerse him or herself in the world of spatial data for spill response and damage assessment from the perspective of a front line federal response team.
