MLK Day Volunteer Project Leaders – United Way of King County (Seattle, WA)

Deadline: Project leader registration by January 6, 2012; volunteer registration by January 13, 2012
In 1994, Congress designated the Martin Luther King Jr. Federal Holiday as a national day of service. Taking place each year on the third Monday in January, MLK Day of Service is the only federal holiday observed as a national day of service—a “day on, not a day off.” Registration has recently opened for MLK Day (January 16, 2012) volunteer project leaders through United Way of King County. Project leaders are responsible for recruiting volunteers for their project and serving as communications liaison between the host organization and volunteers.
